Michael Popwell

Originally from the suburbs of Augusta Ga, I moved to the Atlanta area at the end of 2014. A former college baseball player, I graduated from Georgia Gwinnett College in December of 2020 with a degree in Marketing. I enjoy interacting with the new people, building relationships, and identifying the needs of our customers. I look forward to working efficiently with my fellow team members to accomplish our goals. In my spare time I enjoy bass fishing, duck hunting, and watching my favorite sports teams.

I have spent most of my life as a resident of Georgia, outside of attending college in Oklahoma. I feel that insurance is one of the most important benefits one can have for an unpredictable future. My mission is to help guide those in need of insurance toward the policies that will protect and benefit them. In my free time I like to stay active in all activities from volleyball to bowling!

As an army brat, I moved all around the South East until my family settled in Georgia. I grew up loving country music, sports, and insurance...just kidding! I’ve been with Michael Popwell State Farm since June, 2022 and have enjoyed every moment of it. I got licensed in January, 2024, and continue learning every day. I’ll be wrapping up my degree in December, 2024, with a Bachelor’s in Marketing and a Minor in Economics. When I’m not working or going to class, I enjoy being outdoors and spending quality time with my family.

I was born and raised in Harris County, Georgia. I played college softball at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. I graduated college in May of 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and I also have an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. I started my insurance career with Michael Popwell State Farm in December of 2022. I am currently licensed in Property and Casualty & Life and Health. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and watching TV.

I am from Buford, GA and graduated from Lanier High School in 2017. I am licensed in Property and Casualty. I joined Michael Popwell’s office in February 2024, starting my insurance career. I enjoy building relationships with our customers to better assist with any questions or concerns you may have. I have a son who is my greatest blessing. I’m very family orientated and love spending as much time as I can with my family. Outside of work, I enjoy going outside or catching up on my favorite shows.

I have lived my entire life in Georgia and after a personal loss I realized how very important insurance is. I began working in the industry in 2016 and have loved building relationships with my customers and helping them with all their insurance needs. Protecting you and your family is my priority and I look forward to working with you! During my free time I love spending time with my family and playing competitive cornhole.

I grew up in metro-Atlanta before receiving a football and baseball scholarship to attend Quincy University in Illinois. After finishing my bachelor’s degree in marketing, I spent 3 years serving my community as a firefighter. My passion is to help people through service. This passion led me to State Farm where we pride ourselves on protecting customer assets. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our dog, coaching football, and trout fishing.

I have lived in Georgia my entire life. I began working in the insurance industry in 2015 and haven’t looked back since. I always make it my goal to build relationships with our customers so together we can make sure you understand what you have and cover all of your needs. In my spare time I am an avid reader, gamer, and animal lover. I volunteer at the local animal shelter whenever I can. I look forward to getting to know all of our customers!
